Nokia Siemens Networks provides mobile and fixed network infrastructure, communications and networks service platforms, as well as professional services and business solutions, to operators and service providers. In August 2012, the Company sold a portfolio consisting of over 500 patents and patent applications worldwide to Vringo Inc. In November 2012, it acquired earthmine inc. In August 2013, it acquired all of Siemens AG's stake in Nokia Siemens Networks.
