MetLife, Inc. (MetLife) is a provider of insurance, annuities and employee benefit programs, serving 90 million customers in over 50 countries. Through its subsidiaries and affiliates, MetLife operates in the United States, Japan, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. In October 2013, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA sold its entire 64.3% interest in Administradora de Fondos de Pensiones Provida SA (AFP Provida) to Metlife Inc's subsidiaries.
