Templeton Global Income Fund (the Fund) is a closed-end investment company. The Fund seeks current income, with a secondary goal of capital appreciation. Under normal market conditions, the Fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in income-producing securities, including debt securities of the United States and foreign issuers, including emerging markets. The Fund portfolio includes foreign government and agency securities, municipal bonds, quasi-sovereign and corporate bonds, and short term investments and other assets. The Fund's investment manager is Franklin Advisers, Inc. The Fund invests in the Institutional Fiduciary Trust Money Market Portfolio (Sweep Money Fund), an open-end investment company.
