Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. (A&B), incorporated in 1900, is a real estate and agriculture company with interests in real estate development, commercial real estate and agriculture. The Company owns approximately 88,000 acres in Hawaii. It has a diverse portfolio of real estate development projects throughout Hawaii, and a commercial property portfolio consisting of nearly eight million square feet of leasable space in Hawaii and on the United Sates Mainland. Both HC&S and McBryde Resources, Inc. produce electricity from renewable energy. In May 2013, the Company's subsidiary, A&B Properties, Inc., acquired Napili Plaza. In September 2013, A&B Properties, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company announced that it has acquired a portfolio of 31 properties from Japanese real estate investor Genshiro Kawamoto. In October 2013, Alexander & Baldwin Inc merged with Grace Pacific Corp.
